Small and medium enterprises or small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs; also small and medium-sized businesses, SMBs, and variations there of) are companies whose headcount or turnover falls below certain limits.
In most economies, smaller enterprises are much greater in number than large companies. SMEs are often said to be responsible for driving innovation and competition in many economic sectors (wikipedia.org)
There is small enterprise which run about food and drinks, we usually call it Canteen.
Located at an English course area in Harapan Indah, Bekasi, with 3 million rupiahs for fund, Mrs. Djoko started her business on August 2011.
This canteen supply some snacks and drinks from supplier, also serve some snacks by herself such as lontong, tempe mendoan, tahu goreng, etc for many teachers and students of the course, also some mother who pick up her child there.
Mrs. Djoko rent a place beside the building of course with 7 million rupiahs for a year, and she get about 3,5 million rupiahs profit each month. This business get it's capital return after 8 month.
She opened her canteen at 11 a.m until 7 p.m on Monday until Friday and assisted by her daughters, so there is no earnings for employee.
